Why is your website getting no enquiries?
Before replacing a website, check whether an interested person can actually reach you. Run these five checks on a phone.
Do it yourself
Five checks to start with.
Write down what works and what blocks progress. One specific obstacle is a better starting point than a vague feeling that the site does not sell.
- 01
Can a visitor quickly understand what you offer?
Try: Open the home page on a phone and show it to someone who does not know your business. Ask what you offer and who it is for.
Improve: If they are unsure, state the customer's problem, your solution and one next step in everyday language near the top.
- 02
Is contacting you easy to find?
Try: Find the contact button on a phone, open the menu and reach the form. Check that no button is hidden behind an image or menu.
Improve: Show a contact option alongside the service description. Use a clear label such as ‘Tell us what you need’.
- 03
Does the form actually work?
Try: Send yourself a test message from a phone. Confirm it arrives and the site clearly reports success or failure.
Improve: Fix failed delivery or confusing errors first. Make your email address easy to find as a backup route.
- 04
Does the customer know what they are buying?
Try: Open a service page. Can you find who it is for, what is included, the price range and what happens after contacting you?
Improve: Add a concrete scope, exclusions and a price or an explanation of how the final price is agreed.
- 05
Can you see which journey creates enquiries?
Try: Check which pages people visit and how many enquiries actually arrive. Page views alone do not show whether the sales journey works.
Improve: Record a starting point and compare the same measure after a change. If you rely on Google, use the free Search Console to see search queries and indexing.
When you find a problem
Fix one important obstacle first.
If the form fails or contact is hard to find on a phone, focus on that one issue. Before work starts, check the platform, access, backups and how the fix will be tested.
You can ask us for a proposal to fix a single identified obstacle. Send the page address and describe what is not working. We will confirm feasibility, scope, price and testing in writing before starting.
